Governor Northam announced on Monday, July 27, 2020, a grant program, the Rebuild VA Small Business Grant Fund, designed to assist small businesses and nonprofits disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic who meet very specific program criteria. The grants may be up to $10,000 and available for about 7,000 applicants. Funding for the grant program comes from the federal CARES (Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security) Act received by Virginia and is approximately $70 million.

Berks County Small Business New Start Grant Program
The Berks County Small Business New Start Grant Program is a grant program developed by the Berks County Commissioners, Greater Reading Chamber Alliance and Community First Fund to support the restart and recovery efforts of small businesses and nonprofit organizations located in Berks County. This program will dedicate $6 million for small business grants of up to $50,000 for eligible businesses negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Governor Inslee recently announced a Working Washington Small Business Emergency Grant (WWSBEG) program to assist small businesses impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak. The grant program will provide a limited number of businesses with emergency funds of up to $10,000.
